Zoo Day

We are an animal loving family in our house.  If I mention any activity that has to do with animals, this crew gets moving faster than usual.  My plan was to arrive as they were opening, so that we could have a few hours without the sweltering heat.  We were a little late, in typical Schmidt fashion, but we still had several good hours of "nice" weather.  We were able to see all of our favorite exhibits.  We checked out the 4D Ice Age movie.  We fed the giraffes.  And we cooled down with an icy snow cone.  We are so lucky to have our yearly zoo memberships.
