It's a GIRL

On Monday, J & I went in for our 20-week ultrasound. I've been a bit nervous with this pregnancy, being labeled "at risk". When did 35 put you at risk? Aren't there Hollywood actors/actresses having babies at the ripe ole' ages of 40, 50 or 60? Geez...

Regardless of my age, the ultrasound revealed that we are having a sweet, healthy baby GIRL! We are nervous & excited to welcome a little more sass into our home!

Below are a few pics of our little bundle....

The Expanding Schmidt Family

In all the busyness of work, school & life, I have not blogged about baby #3. As a busy Mama & working girl, I am going to try to keep up with this blog & even post some pictures of the "bump", as time progresses.

I will begin my 16th week this Friday and will schedule my "level 2" ultrasound next week. If all goes well, we should know if we need a bigger house for all the girl clothes & shoes, or for all the transformers & superheroes. ha!

Until the "bump" arrives, this is all I've got...the cravings of a pregnant girl. I also ate this on Saturday. I know, disgusting. I would never devour an extra-long chili-cheese dog on any normal non-pregnant day. But, it was heaven! I'm just glad to have my appetite back.

Disney on Ice

We were given tickets this year for the "Disney on Ice" performance by some friends of ours at the kid's school. It was an evening performance, so we were a bit hesitant about accepting the tickets and driving all the way downtown. We were so glad that we did -- it was such a nice family outing & the kids loved it so much this year!

Happy Halloween

Every year, we begin our October festivities by carving a few pumpkins & taking pictures in a nearby pumpkin patch. The pumpkin carving party looked a little like this....

We ventured over to one of College Station's pumpkin patches while visiting Grandma & Paw Paw this weekend. The pickings were slim, but the kids didn't mind. It looked a little like this...
