Flowers for Snow White

With this dance recital being our first, we didn't get the memo about bringing flowers for our little dancer.  Thankfully, Mimi saved the day with a bouquet of very special flowers for our girl. 

Some Day My Prince Will Come...

Over Memorial Day weekend, our beautiful ballerina performed in her first dance recital at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. I must say, I was quite impressed with my big girl's bravery! To face a crowd of that size, and to dance on a stage also of considerable size, was remarkable. I believe that dance may be her calling.

Birthday Girls

Thirty-seven years ago, my Mama brought home a fiesty, little, independent baby doll for my big sister to play with.  This is a picture of us on our 1st & 11th birthdays.  Happy Birthday to us!!

Water Baby

We have a water baby on our hands.  I do hope her love of the water will continue as we travel to the Florida beaches this summer.
 

 

366 Days Around the Sun

Our sweetpea turned ONE yesterday.  12 months old.  366 days.  It sounds like an enormous amount of time ago, but feels like it was just the other day when we welcomed her into our arms.  It is bittersweet, knowing my baby girl is now moving towards the independence of toddler hood.  It makes my heart happy, though, to know she is thriving in this big ole' world.  Happy Birthday, PKS!

F I V E

Five is nice. Five is grand. Five is Chuck E.Cheese with great friends & family. Five is Disney princesses & chocolate cake. Five is a celebration of life. Five is making wishes. Five is a cousin retreat. Five is giggles and smiles and dreams come true.  Our sweet girl turned FIVE last weekend.  She enjoyed every second of it.

Little Snaggletooth

My sweet princess, who will celebrate her 5th birthday in less than forty-eight hours, lost her first tooth this week. What a proud little princess she was over this big milestone.

My Blue-Eyed Girl

With sweet P's sitter out of town, we were worried of how the week would unfold.  Luckily for us, the mother of one of Q's classmates offered to watch her.  She has been a life saver.  A weight lifter.  She even sent me this photo today to remind me of just how perfect P is.
