Pumpkin Patch

This afternoon, we dressed the kids in their warmest Autumn colors to take a picture in our local pumpkin patch. To our dismay, the patch had only a smattering of pumpkins, and most were rotting. I suppose this Texas heat will do it.

Boo Zoo

On Saturday, we headed down to the Houston Zoo, for their "Boo Zoo" festivities. The kids were able to "trunk or treat", get "tatzoo's" and enjoy the beautiful weather in their costumes.

Pre-Halloween Party

We had a super eventful weekend, beginning with a Halloween party on Friday eve. Q's friend from school, Katerina, hosted the party. Tons of ghouls & goblins, food, and fun!

At the party, they both enjoyed the massive "Moon Walk". Q especially loved jumping with his Spiderman pal, Brady.






R LOVED bobbing for apples. She didn't technically "bob", but she enjoyed splashing in the water and throwing around the apples.




Q, Jessica, and Tyler after breaking open the pinata. Jessie & Q are best of buds! Tyler, aka Incredible Hulk, is Jessie's big bro.

Fighting the War

My dear friend, Kim, was recently diagnosed with cancer. Her particular war -- non-Hodgkins lymphoma, enlarged B-cell. My heart is aching for her, her four kids, her husband, mother, father, sister. She begins treatment on Monday and believes that prayers can't hurt. Please keep her in yours.

Outside the Box

Hundreds of dollars worth of toys and the kids would rather play in a box. Well, R -- not so much. She would rather play in the same box as her brother. And of course Q wants his all to himself.

Chuck E Cheese

Pizza, trains, slides, tokens, Chuck E, himself. The fun is neverending! When Q was asked what he wanted to do for his brave efforts at school all week, he exclaimed "Chuck E Cheese!"

Side Note: I don't know how he remembers this place...I think we've only gone 1 or 2 other times. Ah, the memory of a three year old.

The Great Pumpkin

During our trip to CS this weekend, we checked out a nearby pumpkin patch.

Facelift

I decided to give our blog a fresh face. I was tired of the plain jane background but couldn't quite figure out what I wanted. This inspires me to get into the Halloween mindset. Maybe we'll soon find a pumpkin patch to take a picture in.

Halloween Groovin'

Lots of pics to share today...I wanted to post them yesterday but simply ran out of time. The weekend was fast & furious, like the last few since IKE blew through here.

We got out our Halloween decorations and the kids enjoyed wearing UB's afro wig from a previous Halloween party.

Bath Time

Q wanted to check out the jacuzzi bathtub....bubbles galore.

Tennis

Over the weekend, we watched Papa & Daddy hit a few balls.

Sick Day

R ran a fever last Monday, so we just hung out all day taking pictures.
