When the Kentucky cousins are in College Station, Q&R like to show them a little Texas hospitality. Shooting BB guns in the hot sun is certainly fun, but cooling off with a "JJ's" snow cone is even better.

Brevard Zoo & Kayak Tour

During our visits to Cocoa, we always enjoy a morning trip to the Brevard Zoo.  The kids love the up close interaction with the gentle giraffes & lorakeets.

While kayaking the Banana River, we got a fantastic sight of several manatees, moon jellies, and horseshoe crabs.

Cocoa Beach 2013

A fun trip was had in Cocoa Beach with our Schmidt family.  The weather was great for our daily trips to the beach, pool, and nighttime crab hunts.  We enjoyed a kayak tour with the graceful manatees and also visited our favorite interactive zoo.  Another post on another day.  Stay tuned.

 

Just the Three of Us

Q&R have been in Cocoa Beach since the end of June.  They are having the time of their life -- swimming, surfing, crab hunting, playing with cousins, and Disneyworld fun.  While they are creating such glorious memories with Mimi & Papa, sweet P is also enjoying the quality one-on-one time she is receiving at home.

We have enjoyed the neighborhood park. Sliding, swinging, and feeding the turtles are always a hit.

We have enjoyed swimming with friends.

We enjoyed our new zoo membership, too.

Destin 2013

We had the perfect respite in Destin last week. The weather could not have been better. The sea & sand were just pure awesome.  And having all the cousins (minus a few) together for laughs and love made the trip all the more heartwarming.
