Hurricane IKE

We survived the storm, safely and damage free. As a friend from work said it...
"we were inconvenienced more than anything else". No electricity for six days, but a gas cooktop and grill came in handy. Paw Paw also sent down a small generator to hook up the fridge, fan, and the occasional television watching.

We are all back to work & school, anxiously awaiting the return of normal life. I found these few pics of IKE on the Internet....one radar version of the storm & the other from an international spacestation.

A few other pics from Houstonians that were less fortunate than us. Devastation.

A Bouncing Success

The birthday party was a hit... kids running all around, transitioning from the slide, to the moon walk, to the other moon walk, back to the slide... I couldn't keep up.

Honestly, I never even grabbed my camera out of the bag. My friend, Shea, offered to take pictures with hers. Thanks Shea for being there to lend a hand!

Dakota

I know...I know...I've been hearing it....It's just been CRAZY around here with "back to school"! The house is a wreck, my feet are aching, and we're all fighting a pretty decent cold.

More pictures to come after this weekend, with the celebration of Q's birthday tomorrow at that cool inflatable place called "Pump it Up". He is so excited...it's all we've heard in weeks.

Until I can upload pics from the party, enjoy one of my favorite guys ...
