Finally, A Name...

After much debate and sending away 50+ names, we have finally come to a conclusion. Our sweet little pea will be called Piper. I've loved the name since student teaching in 1998. It is then that I first met a Piper -- she was a doll and so was her name. I'm getting anxious to meet ours.

Update: As of Tuesday, I am 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. My OB/GYN is on call today and this weekend, so no worries here. My next appointment is scheduled for Tuesday, May 3rd.

Happy Easter

Easter morning brought an indoor egg hunt and baskets from The Bunny. Q likes to shake the eggs to see if anything inside is worth his time, while Ri still finds excitement in the treasures.

In the afternoon, we celebrated "Baby" Sutton's 2nd Birthday at UB & Aunt Aimee's house. I suppose we'll drop the term "Baby" once the newest addition arrives.

Easter Fun in CS

On Friday morning, we traveled to CS for an early Easter celebration. The weather was perfect & the kids loved playing with Grandma & Paw Paw! Hunting for eggs was a special treat!

Bye-Bye Bonnets

With the lack of rain & super hot days, my annual Texas bluebonnet pictures were quite sad. So sad, I wanted to shed a few tears. I'll blame that on my hormones.

Next year, I'll have to make sure that I get it together as soon as the first sign of wildflowers are in bloom. For now, enjoy my effort & those cute smiles.

After work on Friday, my co-workers held a baby shower in my honor. Mexican food & margaritas -- it was my kind of shower!

Baby Bedding

The new bedding for little sister has been delivered and placed on the crib. Thank you, Grandma & PawPaw! I really love the colors!

J & I finished our sanding project over the weekend -- the dresser that will go in her room. My plan for this week is to paint it & purchase new drawer pulls.

We still have a few things to finish up in the nursery, but it is coming together. I've ordered a mini-chandelier for her room. It should be arriving this week, so I hope we can get that hung this weekend. I may even feel adventurous enough to paint the bookcase that is currently in her room. More pics to come.....

Crawfish Season

Our first crawfish boil of the season was at our neighbor's home this weekend. Q & R always have a blast going over to Mr. Roy's & Ms. Autumn's. For one, they have this spectacular pool. Two, they have a HUGE Great Dane, who is the sweetest, most gentle thing. And three, Mr. Roy never ceases to amaze us with his cooking/grilling/boiling abilities. Happy April, everyone!

35 weeks

Where has the time gone? I knew it would fly by, but I really did not expect it to go by this quickly. I asked my Q-man to take a picture of my "big belly", as he so delicately calls it. This is what I got. I just had to laugh. I return to the doctor on Tuesday, where he begins checking my cervix. He expects our little sweet pea will arrive in about three weeks, as her older siblings did, but she may have a mind of her own.

Fire Pit

Check out J's newest toy. He had it set up and raring to go on Friday evening. The kids loved cooking their very own dinner -- s'mores & hot dogs. Next time, a possible campout.
