End of Pre-K, Round 1

Although Q will not be starting Kindergarten next year (darn August birthday), we sang along to the "end of pre-k" song today at his "end of year" celebration. I love this boy, and all his craziness.

Three-Year-Old Sass

Happy Birthday, sweet sugar bear! Our favorite little girl is three today. What an intoxicating, mesmerizing, powerful little girl she is. She is funny faces and silly booty-shaking. A communicator, a chatterbox, a sweet sentence maker. She is hot tears and bubbling laughter. Fluttering eyelashes. Delicate. A good eater. Happy girl. Sound sleeper. Dreamy singer. Number counter.

She remembers lines to the books we read. She strokes her brother's head when he is sad. She pinches him and screams when he takes her stuff away. She likes noodles and popsicles and watermelon. She loves her dollies, her baby stroller and hair pretties. She loves her nails painted and she loves lip gloss.

She is dainty and death-defying. She is a southern belle and a tomboy. She is loud and gentle. She is a goofy clown in moviestar sunglasses. She has very definite ideas about the shoes she is going to wear with each outfit. She likes to play basketball and frisbee and go for rides on her bike. She announces her burps and her other outbursts. She does not go to sleep without first getting five hugs and kisses. She is our lover!!
