Cool Down

On Wednesday & on a spur of the moment, we decided to go check out Buzz & Woody! Q had already seen the newest "Toy Story" movie with Mimi & Papa, so he was able to talk me through the important details. ha!

While in the theater, a thunderstorm had passed, bringing in one nasty humidity level. Can you guess what happened next?! Yep, a little H2O!!

Sweet Home Kentucky

A few more fun shots during our trip to Kentucky. I think we'll just leave the suitcases out, add or subtract a couple of items, while packing for our beach vacation. Ten glorious days await! We're excited!

Tactical Artillery

Our Kentucky trip also included a visit to a Veterans Memorial at the local fairgrounds. The kids were totally impressed with the M41 Walker Bulldog Tank. This tank was used in the Vietnam War & is likely one of the last of its type in the U.S. That's right, we took in a little history on our trip.

Getting Medieval

Our trip to Kentucky included a trip to the Castle Post, located near Keeneland, just outside of Lexington. This castle has been vacant since I was young and was recently renovated into a luxurious inn. My brother & Ashley stayed here the night of their wedding. So romantic!

Congratulations to my brother & his dear bride! The two were joined in marriage on Saturday, July 10, 2010. Thank you for sharing in the start of your new life together! We love you!

The lovebirds chose red & a pale blue as the colors for their wedding; a truly beautiful combination. (I wish I would have gotten a picture of the bride in her red heels!) After the ceremony, the boys all changed into matching red converse sneakers & the girls in matching dresses. So cute & so fun!

Good Times

On Thursday, we met up with friends for some outdoor fun. We feared "Hurricane Alex" was going to put a damper on our pool plans, but the sky didn't actually fall out until late afternoon.
