So much has been going on in the Schmidt house of late. Here's a little glimpse into our recent chaotic life....
Q-man celebrated his 6th birthday...
along with his first day of Kindergarten...
Q also started soccer with Texas Rush...
1st soccer practice with his buddies & coach...
His first game came with some anxiety & lots of tears. He wasn't sure what to do & didn't realize that everyone was there to simply have fun. He was a powerhouse this morning, though, at game #2 & even scored his team two goals!! Regardless of our bribery, he had fun playing soccer today! Go Team Dragons!!
Our sweet Ri-girl has had an adventurous few weeks, too! She was definitely ready to return to school. During her first week, she correctly learned to write the "e" in her name. She has always written it backwards & I diligently tried to correct it over the summer. She would simply tell me..."I do my "e" like this." Yes, she's my strong willed child. Mom, are you smiling?!
She was so excited to shop for ballet shoes, she had to model them for Daddy as soon as we got home! Her teacher said she was all smiles during her first class! The beauty of said dance class is that her school buses the girls over once a week, without the parents having to do anything. Sign us up? Yes, please!

My gorgeous girl has been the sweetest big sister these last few weeks, too! When P was first born, I was worried my Ri-girl may feel a bit neglected and perhaps lash out at her baby sister. She may have been a bit rough with her in the first few weeks, but is now quite gentle & loving. She tells her everyday how much she loves her & always wants to hold her. I couldn't ask for a better big sister!

our little chubby monkey turned 4 months old last week...

P & Mr. Chick...
Mama & her two baby chicks...
